The Jacobs Teen Innovation Challenge (JTIC) empowers students globally to address social and environmental issues by leveraging design thinking and the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants form teams to identify pressing local or global challenges, brainstorm creative solutions, and prototype their ideas. The program culminates in a pitch event where teams showcase their projects to a panel of judges for a chance to win awards. Open to teens in middle and high school worldwide, JTIC promotes critical skills like teamwork, empathy, and innovation while fostering global citizenship.
To ensure success, the Jacob Institute created the Pactful program, which offers curriculum (teacher guides, student activity), and training webinars, all free and virtual. Check our website for more details, and sign up for upcoming virtual information sessions in December for more information.
