Hoot Reading - Kansas City, Missouri - Part time

Position: Independent Contractor,Part Time, Term Position (from December 2024 to April 2025)

Location: On-site within Kansas City Public Schools, Missouri and remote from home

Coordinates with: Director, Customer Experience and Account Management

Compensation: $25-$27/hour based on experience + travel allowance

Hours: Part-time, between 10 - 15 hours/week with varying hours scheduled between 8 am - 5 pm CT, Monday through Friday.

As a Program Implementation Specialist, you will ensure exceptional program execution in the Kansas City area. This involves developing and managing our 3rd party on-site coordinator team and overseeing the Hoot Reading program. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the Hoot Reading app and its functionalities, a passion for supporting young learners, and a commitment to high-quality service and client development. As a strong communicator, you will drive key initiatives, optimize implementation strategies, and lead top-notch training and educational efforts. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Spanish is essential for the ideal candidate.

About the Service Opportunity

  • Collaborate with our 3rd party on-site coordinators to refine implementation strategy.
  • Monitor program usage and effectiveness, gathering feedback for on-site coordinators to improve processes.
  • Deliver training and ongoing support to school admins and 3rd party on-site coordinators on app functionality and best practices.
  • Regular on-site visits to support our 3rd party on-site coordinators while promptly addressing inquiries or concerns.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for optimizing program impact.
  • Act as a liaison between schools, our 3rd party on-site coordinators and Hoot Reading, nurturing strong relationships with our partners.

Required qualifications:

  • Spoken and Written Proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Quick problem-solver and calm in stressful situations and noisy environments.
  • Comfortable working with school-age children.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and has a sense of urgency.
  • Previous experience in K-12 education, preferably in a teaching or administrative capacity. Familiarity with the Science of Reading is a plus.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within the designated territory.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Ability to deliver training sessions to educators and on-site administrators.
  • Use of personal computer for the services of this contract is required
  • Criminal records/child abuse registry check upon request
