May 30, 2014

MOBILE RISING: Nearly 71% of U.S. K-12 districts report that at least a quarter of their schools that are using mobile technology--up from 60% in 2013. That’s according to a survey conducted by IESD and STEM Market Impact (and sponsored by Amplify), which asked 332 administrators and CTOs about mobile adoption trends in their districts. Of this group, 42% percent say their schools use mobile device carts that are shared across multiple classrooms (down from 51% in 2013), while 20% say some of their classrooms have 1:1 ratio of devices and students (up from 12% in 2013).
