VEROLD: $1.6 million to Toronto-based Verold from GrowthWorks Capital, the Ontario Growth Fund and angels including Daniel Langlois and Marc Petit. Founded in 2010, the startup creates web-based, interactive 3-D content for entertainment and educational purposes. Verold is one of the participants in Pearson's Catalyst accelerator, where it will create "dynamic 3D visualizations" to "create an interactive educational experience around Developmental Psychology content."
