LearnLaunch has announced the six startups in its upcoming winter 2015 accelerator class:
- Authess: assessment templates that can be used to evaluate skill mastery
- Education Modified: helping teachers serve special needs students
- Knowledge to Practice: personalized education platform for medical students
- NI-O Toys: hardware kits that lets anyone create 3D educational toys
- Pip Learning Technologies: school identity service that protects student privacy
- Quill: online activities on English grammar (here's what teachers have to say so far about the tool)
These companies will each get up to $18K as they spend the next four months focused on developing their products, customers and business strategies. The program will conclude with a demo day on June 3. LearnLaunch has graduated 13 companies from its accelerator program so far.
