LEARNTRIALS: Raleigh, North Carolina-based LearnTrials has raised $800,000 in a seed round led by Edovate Capital, joined by the Inception Mirco Angel Fund and investors including Jean Hammond (co-founder and partner at LearnLaunch), Gregg Burt and Walt Winshall. Part of the funding also came from its participation in the Kaplan EdTech Accelerator (now defunct) and the AT&T Aspire Accelerator. Founded in 2014, the startup offers a platform that reviews and rates education technology products to help schools and districts make smarter purchasing decisions. More details in the release.
