A HIVE IN THE WINDY CITY: The MacArthur Foundation and Burberry Foundation will give a combined $2.2 million in grants to support the Chicago Hive Learning Network, a consortium of 34 local organizations devoted to helping Chicago youth develop 21st century skills. Launched in Chicago in 2009, the Hive has funded an array of projects that focus on issues like STEM, game design and technology, Maker events, art programs, and ethics and diversity.
