BETTER KNOW A HOTSPOT, PT. 2: Not too long ago, Tom Vander Ark made the case for why NYC should be considered the "second most prolific tech startup and EdTech hotspot on the planet." Our friend over in the Windy City, Christopher Nyren, took a little friendly offense to that, and followed up with a compelling case for why Chicago is more deserving of that spot. ("New York can only rank as high as the third...") His rebuttal includes a useful list of investors, schools, foundations, and both established and up-and-coming players that any edupreneur should keep an eye on. It's certainly got the attention of Vander Ark, who'll be following up his own analysis of Chicago's edtech happenings.
