BETA HAPYAK is re-inventing social commentary around video by allowing users to create drawings, record narration and add comments directly onto a video in YouTube or Vimeo. It's difficult to know if HapYak can be the type of collaboration to that educators have come to enjoy in VoiceThread and GlogsterEdu -- the market is already saturated with video commentary products. But the growing collection of videos is a great resource for first person accounts of those marvelous fringe topics such as How to Make a Nether Portal in Minecraft or How Big is Infinity?
