Free! SZOTER is an image annotation tool that can be accessed through the web or downloaded as a desktop app. Any image may be uploaded whether it comes from a user's own computer, a webpage url, a webcam shot, or screenshot capture.
Once uploaded images may be cropped, panned, zoomed, and edited with an array of MS Paint-like drawing tools. Annotated images may be downloaded or shared through a persistent url (like the image above). Szoter is an attractive option for educators seeking cloud-based, login-free image editing tools. But if you've had little luck with Adobe Flash and Java applets, you may find a better option in the time-honored 'Print Screen' button!
