CLASSROOM, INC: $400K grant to NYC-based nonprofit, Classroom, Inc., from the New York Life Foundation. The funds will support transition programs for middle and high school students that uses curricula and computer simulations created by Classroom Inc., along with a new web-based literacy programs for grades 6 to 8. Founded in 1991, the nonprofit offers simulation-based programs, print materials, and professional development programs in nearly 1,000 sites across 20 states. More details in the press release.
