READWORKS: $100K to Brooklyn, NY-based Readworks.org from NewSchools Venture Fund (NSVF), which makes it the first nonprofit that the NSVF Seed Fund has supported. Founded in 2010, the organization delivers online lesson plans for reading comprehension curriculum for grades K-6. According to its Spring 2013 Performance Update, ReadWorks has been used by over 300,000 teachers and 6 million students.
