BOSTON MARKET: Pearson continues to expand its networks with edtech startup communities around the world. In February, it launched its own incubator program. Then it announced partnerships in Washington D.C. and India in July. Last week, the publisher unveiled a strategic partnership with three closely related Boston edtech organizations: LearnLaunch, a non-profit focused on community-building activities; LearnLaunchX, its for-profit arm that runs a startup accelerator; and Exponential Techspace, the campus where many LearnLaunch events and programs are held. As part of the deal, Pearson employees will mentor startups on product and marketing development, and help them integrate with Pearson software like PowerSchool, a widely-used student information system. A Pearson representative declined to disclose financial details.
