NOT JUST A THIRD WHEEL: All the talk about using Chromebooks and iPads in schools must be leaving the Amazon Kindle feeling like odd man out. This college student, however, shows how the Kindle can be a handy research device over on tech blog, Lifehacker. (Need to take notes and highlight your e-books?) While Amazon hasn't been driving school adoption as hard as Apple and Google, it did buy TenMarks last October. Last we heard, the company has been testing Kindles in "hundreds of K-12 schools," according to USA Today.
