BRIGHTBYTES: $15 million to San Francisco, CA-based BrightBytes in a Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with existing investors Rethink Education and Learn Capital participating. BrightBytes has a platform, Clarity, which helps administrators make decisions about where to spend their edtech dollars. The platform collects and analyze data on how money spent is linked to student outcomes. It then makes recommendations for future decision-making. The press release says BrightBytes currently serves about one in 10 schools across the U.S.
