TO TELL OR NOT TO TELL: Take bullying quietly, or be a tattle-tale. That seemed to be the big school message last week in two separate cases mentioned on Hack Education. First up, fifth graders at Zeman Elementary School in Nebraska were given a guide on how to handle bullies, with rule #7 reading “Do not tell on them.” Then, a SPED student in Penn. tape-recorded a bully taunting him, only to be charged with felony wiretapping. Not quite the outcome you’d expect for a kid standing up for himself. Got thoughts? We want to hear them.
