SYNERGIS EDUCATION: $5 million to Chandler, AZ-based Synergis Education in a Series A2 round from Mitsui & Co., a subsidiary of the Tokyo-based multinational corporate group that goes by the same name. The company raised a $33 million Series A in September 2013. Founded in 2011, Synergis offers traditional universities technology services used to recruit students (primarily adult learners) and develop the schools' offline and online programs.
