GROWING THE FAMILY: On September 23, Digital Promise added 11 public school districts to its League of Innovative Schools, including the Wake County Public School System in North Carolina (with over 153,000 students), the Coachella Valley Unified School District in California (where 100% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch) and Owsley County Schools in Kentucky (where median family income is less than $20,000).
Since its start in 2011, the League’s member schools have communicated best practices and lessons learned to one another, in national and regional forums, and in partnerships with research institutions. With the 11 additions, the League includes over 3.2 million students, extending across 57 districts in 27 states. Check out the full list here.
