DESCOMPLICA: Brazil’s largest online course provider has raised $7 million in a Series C funding led by Amadeus Capital Partners. Existing investors The Social+Capital Partnership, Valor Capital Group and Valar Ventures also participated. Founded in 2011, the Rio de Janeiro-based company offers students pre-recorded and live video classes along with online tutorial to assist with Brazil’s standard high school curriculum.
The company’s flagship product helps students prepare for the ENEM, Brazil’s national high school exam, which as of 2014 had more than 8.7 million registrants. Descomplica has now raised just over $14 million. More details here.
