Pear Deck and MPOWER Financing: Pear Deck and MPOWER Financing have each been awarded $100K from VilCap Investments as winners of Village Capital: EdTech 2015. The 3-month Village Capital program began with 11 companies that received counseling and mentorship from a host of industry leaders. The winners were peer selected and received feedback from a panel of judges that included, Jean Case, CEO of the Case Foundation, Jim Shelton, Chief Impact Officer of 2U, Katrina Stevens, former EdSurger and currently serving as a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology, and John Katzman, CEO of Noodle.
