A BETTER CONNECTION: On July 15th, Prez Obama formally announced ConnectHome, a new initiative government and private sector partnership to bring high speed broadband to more families across the country. According to the White House fact sheet, this effort to make broadband more “adoptable, valuable, and sustainable” will launch a pilot program in 27 cities and one tribal nation, equipping families with WiFi, devices and more. The ConnectHome initiative builds on the government's ConnectED initiative to bring better WiFi, edtech products and services to schools around the U.S.
