BOOK LOVERS <3 TINKERERS: Do scientists and tinkerers read fiction? Can writers write code? Bookstore chain Barnes and Noble has partnered with Make Magazine to create Mini Maker Faires in 650 of its stores from November 6 to 8. The store has invited participants to make original creations with 3D printers and other technology demonstrations. Not only for makers, the store’s events aim to introduce a new audience to the Maker Movement. Some locations will feature role models on a “Meet the Makers” panel, which will include the founder of Maker Faire, Dale Dougherty.
