Brazilian Startup, QMágico Joins 500 Startups

Nov 4, 2015

SAMBA IN 500 STARTUPS: QMágico, a Brazilian developer that has built an online learning platform, is joining the 500 Startups’ 15th batch. Founded in 2012, the startup initially offered a library of videos but has since pivoted to create an adaptive learning platform. The tool is now used by Brazilian teachers to create lessons, upload instructional materials, and analyze students' performance in more than 1,000 schools.

Company CEO Thiago Feijão tells EdSurge he hopes to learn about product distribution and explore new business models as the company is planning to make the tool free to K-12 teachers. QMágico has previously raised an undisclosed amount of capital from BR Education Ventures and Arpex Capital.
