The Noodle Companies Raise $28M, Announces Noodle Markets for K-12

Dec 9, 2015

THE NOODLE COMPANIES, founded by John Katzman, who previously started The Princeton Review and 2U, has raised $28 million, according to a SEC form filed in July, from 15 investors and is on the hunt for more.

The New York-based company announced its latest venture this week: Noodle Markets, an independent subsidiary of Noodle Companies that offers an education products and services marketplace to connect K-12 educators with vendors, with the goal of streamlining the discovery and procurement process. Vendors can register now; buyers will have to wait until February.

According to a press release, Katzman has appointed Nicole Neal as CEO of Noodle Markets. Neal was previously President of the Education Solutions Group at CORE Education Consulting and Solutions. (Editor’s note: Katzman is also an investor in EdSurge.)

Correction: A previous version of this story misstated which entity raised funding.
