RAUNGGURU has raised a seven-figure Series A round from Venturra Capital, which led the round, and East Ventures, which led the startup’s seed round in 2014. Raungurru, based in Indonesia, did not disclose the quantity of its seed funding either. The company plans to use the Series A funding to bring its online tutoring and test prep platforms to a wider audience in Indonesia, having recently partnered with the Indonesian Department of Education. Together the two deliver qualifying exams for teaching professions and medical school admissions. Raungguru, founded in April 2014, claims to work with 23,000 tutors.
