TESTING TESTING 1, 2, 3: Benchprep and ACT have partnered to launch ACT Online Prep, a web- and mobile-based test prep program that will offer ACT subject tests, a full ACT practice test and personalized analytics on students’ performances. The platform aims to allow students to self-assess their strengths and progress as they prepare to take the ACT. According to Benchprep CEO Ashish Rangnekar, the program, normally almost $40, will be free to low-income students, who have historically been barred from test prep courses by high prices.
ACT Online Prep may have come not a moment too soon. More parents are nudging kids to the ACT—59 percent of 2015's graduating class took the test—as the last of the last generation SAT tests will be given in January 2016.
