UPSWING, a higher education student retention and advising platform, has acquired AskOnline, a video platform for students to connect with their tutors. AskOnline's name will change to AskUp by Upswing. Founded in 2012, Austin, TX-based Upswing will take on AskOnline's contracts and plans to integrate Askonline's products and student data into its core offerings. In a press release, Upswing claimed to have grown its number of contracts by 500 percent in the past year. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
