MEMORANG, a San Francisco-based startup, has raised a $500,000 seed round from Michael Kane, an early investor in SoFi, Tom Palecek, founding partner at Summit Trail Advisors, Glen Friedman, a former VP at DirecTV and others. Founded in 2013, the company makes a platform for creating flashcards, multiple choice and matching questions. It also offers premium flashcards written by its content team.
Founder Yermie Cohen plans to use the funding to expand the company's technology and premium content offerings. Specializing its offerings in the health sciences, Memorang claims to be used by a third of medical students in the US, according to a press release.
