CENTRIS GROUP, a developer of special education software, has been acquired by Frontline Technologies, a Malvern, PA-based company whose recruitment, professional development and human resources tools are used in more than 7,500 K-12 schools. Financial details were not disclosed; the roughly 70 employees of Centris will join Frontline. This marks the second acquisition this year for Frontline, after purchasing Teachscape in January.
Founded in 1984, The Centris Group has built software to help K-12 educators manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Response to Intervention (RTI) programs, Medicaid billing and other special education services. These tools are used in more than 1,000 districts and school agencies, especially in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. More details in the press release.
