KAPLAN AND ACT, maker of the ACT test, have struck up a partnership to deliver online test prep classes with that include both live instruction by teachers and on-demand videos for students. The program's, "ACT® Kaplan Online Prep Live," will become available in the fall. In a joint press release, the companies write that the courses will cost less than $200 but will be free to low-income students who register for the ACT with a fee waiver. ACT estimates that it granted more than 700,00 fee waivers to low-income students in the 2014-2015 school year. Over three million students took the ACT in that same year.
Kaplan and ACT will also put on live events via the same platform as the online test prep courses. The first event, “Understanding Your ACT Scores and What to Do Next,” is set for Saturday April 30 from 2 to 3 pm EST.
