KIRA TALENT has raised a $5 million Series A from existing investors Relay Ventures, BDC Capital IT Venture Fund, Globalive and Roger Martin, bringing its total funding to $8 million. The company makes a college admissions platform that incorporates video and specialized questions alongside written responses, and it plans to further develop its technology to be useful in more parts of the admissions process. Kira claims to be used in 150 schools around the world and expects 250,000 students to use its platform in the upcoming year.
