LIVINGTREE, a private social network for K-12 schools, teachers and parents, today announced its acquisition by Dean Drako, CEO of Eagle Eye Networks. Founded in 2012, LivingTree’s structured, or “hierarchical,” platform mimics the organization of the K-12 educational system and allows teachers, schools and districts to engage students and families through sharing posts as well as photos, documents and emails in more than 100 languages. The company has doubled its user base in the past year alone—translating to nearly 4 million online conversations—and says its multimillion dollar investment by the former Barracuda Networks CEO will go towards furthering that growth.
