GWHIZ, the developer of more than 200 mobile study apps covering preK to professional certification needs, has been acquired by Higher Learning Technologies (HLT), a Coralville, Iowa-based startup. Terms of the deal were not disclosed in the press release. The acquisition will more than double HLT’s portfolio of mobile apps for college test prep, graduate studies in medical, nursing and dental training, and professional services including military placement exams.
