BOMERBOT, an educational gaming company focused on training users in coding and programming skills, has received nearly $795,000 USD (€750,000) from Social Impact Ventures, a Dutch private social impact fund. The investment brings Bomerbot’s total funding to more than $1.27 million USD (€1.2 million). According to a blog post on xEdu, an accelerator program that Bomerbot participated in 2016, this round will be used to expand the company and further product development to reach at least 1 million users in the next five years. The Amsterdam-based company claims more than 80,000 children currently use the platform.
