FRONTLINE EDUCATION is giving PowerSchool a run for its money, at least in terms of its appetite for acquisitions. (Both companies, to note, are owned by private equity firms.) Frontline, a developer of K-12 administrative and human resources tools, has acquired Teachers-Teachers, a job search platform for K-12 educators. The deal brings Teachers-Teachers’ system, used by more than 2,000 U.S. schools, with Frontline’s own job platform that boasts more than 90,000 jobs from more than 3,500 districts. Among the goals for Frontline, according to the press release: the “targeted, proactive recruitment of millennial teachers—a historically difficult segment to attract.”
This marks the sixth deal for Frontline Education in the past 18 months, according to the press release. (For those keeping count, PowerSchool has shelled out nearly $1 billion to acquire 8 companies since June 2015.)
