CREATIVELIVE, an education platform that provides videos and classes on design, photography and other areas of “artistic entrepreneurship,” this week raised $25 million from a funding round led by GSV Acceleration. Greylock Partners, Social Capital, Richard Branson, Creative Artists Agency, REV Venture Partners and Jared Leto also chipped in. To date, CreativeLive has raised $58.8 million.
Based in San Francisco, CreativeLive works with companies such as Adobe, Microsoft and GoPro to offer video lessons on a range of topics including the business of commercial food photography, drawing basics, and podcasting. The company claims 10 million students have accessed its more than 3 billion videos.
