PANDATREE, a language learning company based Palo Alto, Calif., has raised $1.5 million in a seed round led by Michael Dearing (founder of Harrison Metal) and Randy Ching (co-founder of UP2398). Founded in 2014, PandaTree allows parents to sign their kids up for 1-on-1 online video lessons with tutors that last 25 or 50 minutes. Mandarin and Spanish are currently offered.
