MONTESSORIUM, a Sioux Falls, S.D.-based developer of learning apps for young children, has raised $1 million in a Series A round led by Bluestem Capital. Founded in 2010, the company claims its app has been downloaded two million times, and recently launched a new app for parents with tips and activities. SD Angel Funds, Falls Angel Fund, Two Bridges Capital, Kampeska Capital, and SDSU/Brookings Angel Fund also participated in this round. Montessorium has now raised more than $2 million.
