STARRY-EYED: Scholarship company Kaleidoscope Group has raised $1.3 million in a seed financing round led by Gopher Angels. Yonoventures, LLC and gener8tor, along with undisclosed individual investors, also participated in the fundraise.
Founded in 2016, Kaleidoscope offers a platform where private scholarship providers can connect with students, who are then able to apply to opportunities hosted on the website via a scholarship “common app,” a media release describes.
The Minneapolis, Minn.-based startup plans to use the funds to expand its sales and marketing teams in the U.S.
