OPEN CHECKBOOK: The French MOOC provider and online higher-education platform OpenClassrooms has raised an additional $60 million in a Series B funding round led by General Atlantic, a global equity firm, along with three previous investors. To date, the company has raised nearly $70 million in venture capital, according to Crunchbase.
OpenClassrooms was founded in 2013, and officials say it has about 3 million unique visitors each month. It grants its own online degrees as well as those of partner colleges and organizations.
According to the press release, the funding will help the company expand internationally, add new program offerings and build more government and corporate partnerships.
