YELLOWDIG, the developer of online discussion and community-building tools for colleges and universities, has raised an additional $800,000 in a pre-Series A round led by Musketeer Capital. Other investors include SRI Capital, QB1 Ventures, Rosecliff Capital and Bob Ciaruffoli. With this funding, the Philadelphia-based startup has raised $2.4 million.
Founded in 2014, Yellowdig offers features that include online pinboards for classes where faculty and students can connect and collaborate. The company claims it’s currently used by more than 150,000 across over 50 U.S. colleges including Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania. More details from Philly.com.
