FOR THE WIN: Winnie, a startup behind an app that helps parents find childcare programs and family-friendly activities and establishments in their community, has raised $4 million in a seed extension round. The San Francisco-based company has now raised $6 million.
This latest funding was led by Reach Capital. Other investors include Rethink Impact, Homebrew, Ludlow Ventures, Afore Capital, BBG Ventures and Kairos. In its blog post announcing the deal, Winnie claims it now more than 1 million users across 10,000 U.S. cities. The platform currently lists more than 2 million venues, and each of their profile includes information about whether they provide or accommodate things like strollers, highchairs and changing tables.
