ALL ABOARD: Alma Campus, a social network where college students can connect with others at their institution, has raised $1 million in a seed round led by Norwest Venture Partners, per VentureBeat.
Felicis Ventures also invested in the round. Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer chipped in as well.
Alma Campus’ co-founders, who are rising seniors at Stanford University, launched the company in January. They tell VentureBeat that more than 2,000 undergraduates at their school have signed up for their network, and that they plan on taking the network to 10 other schools this summer, including the University of Southern California and parts of the University of California system.
