THE RIGHT COURSE: Concourse Global, a company that uses college counselors and artificial intelligence to find higher education opportunities for international students, has raised $2 million in a seed funding round led by Colle Capital. Other investors included A-Star Education, Third Kind VC, LearnStart and Jay Varkey, group executive director of GEMS Education.
The New York City-based startup doesn’t charge students and high school counselors. It makes money through university partners who pay to connect with students on the platform. The company plans to use the new funds to “expand and further develop” its AI-based matching technology, according to a press release.
