CREHANA EDUCATION, which offers online courses for creative, design and digital fields, has raised $4.5 million in a Series A round led by Acumen Latam Capital Partners LLC. Dila Capital and Mountain Nazca Mexico, along with company shareholders Rethink Education and Howzat Partners, also participated in the round.
Crehana previously raised $1.9 million, according to Crunchbase. The latest round brings the company’s total amount of capital raised to-date to $6.4 million. The Lima, Peru-based company plans to use the funds to further expand internationally, according to a press announcement.
Launched in 2015, Crehana offers more than 500 project-based courses in Spanish on subjects including graphic design, photography and illustration. The startup claims more than 650,000 students in more than 20 countries have taken courses on its website.
