SCHOOL STAKE: SchoolAdmin, an Austin, Texas-based provider of K-12 admissions and enrollment software, has received an investment from private equity firm Quad Partners. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, although Quad will own a majority stake in SchoolAdmin as a result of its investment.
Founded in 2009, SchoolAdmin currently works with 400 K-12 institutions to help them recruit prospective students, and provide software to manage the enrollment and billing processes.
Quad Partners boasts a long history of investing in the education industry, having financed more than 60 companies since its inception in 2000.
This is the second deal involving a private equity firm purchasing a K-12 enrollment tool in recent years. In 2017, Boston-based private equity firm BV Investment Partners acquired Schoolmint, which helps parents and school districts manage the application and enrollment process.
