MODO MAKING MOVES: Modo Labs, a Cambridge, Mass.-based mobile app development platform with clients in higher education, has bought campus e-commerce transactions company Ulyngo.
Modo will use the acquisition to launch Modo Marketplace and authenticate transactions among students, student groups, university departments and other school-related purchases, according to a statement Tuesday. San Francisco-based Ulyngo was founded in 2014.
Founded in 2010, Modo claims hundreds of universities and companies as customers in over 30 countries. The company previously raised a $10 million Series B in 2016.
