ApplyBoard Lands $40.8M Series B to Help Overseas Students Attend North American Schools

STUDY ABROAD: ApplyBoard, a Kitchener, Canada-based platform for international students to apply to North American high schools and colleges, has raised 55 million Canadian dollars (about US $40.8 million) in a Series B round. Anthos Capital led the round with participation from Artiman Ventures.

Founded in 2015, ApplyBoard plans to use the money toward its platform and new markets, according to a statement Monday. The company will hire over 100 employees for its offices over the next year.

ApplyBoard claims to have helped more than 45,000 students from over 100 countries with applications, and to have worked with over 1,200 secondary and postsecondary institutions. The company has raised $72 million Canadian dollars (about US $53.4 million) to date.
