GoPeer, a Providence, R.I.-based startup that offers an online platform to connect high school students with local college students for tutoring sessions, has raised $265,000 in seed funding from investors that include Deborah Quazzo and the Slater Technology Fund, which contributed $25,000 to the round.
Founded in 2017, GoPeer offers pricing plans for tutoring sessions that range from $25 to $35 per hour, and claims it has more than 3,200 college students and 1,200 K-12 pupils on the platform. According to Rhode Island Inno, the founders chipped in $50,000 to get the startup off the ground and raised $20,000 from angel investors last year.
