KickUp Raises $1.75M to Help K-12 Districts Support Teacher Development More Effectively

Sep 17, 2019

WELL, ALIVE AND KICKIN’: KickUp, a provider of an online platform that helps K-12 school districts manage professional development spending and goals for their teachers, has raised $1.75 million in a Series A round led by SustainVC. Also chipping in are Impact Engine and Spring Point Partners. To date, the Philadelphia-based company has raised $4.75 million in venture capital.

Founded in 2015, KickUp offers tools that let district leaders coordinate professional learning programs, and collect and analyze data to measure their impact. The platform also lets educators communicate their professional development needs so that school leaders can spend their teacher training budgets more effectively.

In a blog post about the announcement, the company claims the platform is currently used by more than 100,000 teacher. The new funding will support efforts to expand its customer footprint and further develop its platform.
